Founded in 1971, Circus Royale is a large traditional circus now
owned by Mr Syred who at 28 is Australia’s youngest circus
owner. Damian purchased Circus Royale in 2007 following a short
career in a Perth bank. Damian and the extended Syred family lived
in Northam prior to relocating to Perth.
Around the circus, Damian wears many hats. He is
CEO, helps set up the big tent and in the show, he presents the
dancing ponies. “Children adore seeing the animals and my
animals receive the best possible care,” says Damian. Circus
Royale tours with horses, camels, llamas, cows, geese and happy
dogs.
With modest ticket prices, admission to the Circus
Royale is very affordable. The unique performing cows are making
their first visit to Western Australia. Young people really enjoy,
the Man in the Bottle, a Columbian contortionist who squeezes
his tall lanky body into a tiny spinning bottle. The Globe of
Death riders and Argentinian youngster Rodrigo also regularly
receive big applause.
The Circus Royale locations are updated regularly
on our website. Bookings on 0410 669 253 or online.
Tickets are also sold at circus site from 10am each performance

Circus Trainer has act like no udder
Three Friesian cows are the highlight of Circus
Royale for many a farmer. Circus Royale is presenting for the
first time in Western Australia a unique act featuring 3 Friesian
cows and a miniature pony.
Getting a cow to mind its manners will look easy
when patrons see the cows climb on to pedestals and perform a
series of tricks as part of the Circus Royale currently touring
in rural Western Australia for the first time in fifteen years.
The cows travel in a purpose built semi trailer,
which also holds the geese, goats, camels, llamas, horses and
ponies that also appear in the circus. Circus Royale’s first
application to import the cows into Western Australia was refused.
Special permission was required for the cows to be allowed into
Western Australia.
Circus Owner Damian Syred said “Assistance
from the Circus Federation of Australasia and good health references
from other Australian States had convinced West Australian authorities
to allow the cows importation”. “I lost a lot of sleep
when the initial request was refused.”
Head trainer Robin Howell said, “Circus Royale
is the first to include performing animals of the bovine variety
in its lineup. They are a unique attraction.
Mr Howell said the multi talented waltzing and dancing
Friesians had so far been a hit with patrons, especially farmers.
He said the Friesians were reasonably intelligent
and very willing to please. “Now when I drive down the road
and see farmers with their cows I look at them in a completely
different light.” Circus Royale offers a magical, unforgettable,
two-hour live experience at modest ticket prices. Adults from
$25 each, Children 2 years and older pay from $15 each. Tickets
can be booked by calling 0410 669 253 or book
online.
Tickets are also available from 10am each day of circus visit
at the circus site.
